In 1938, renowned industrialist Henry J. Kaiser, celebrated as the "father of modern shipbuilding," orchestrated the rapid construction of this 15-acre lakeside retreat. Demonstrating remarkable efficiency, Kaiser employed a crew of 300 men working in continuous eight-hour shifts to complete the estate in a mere 30 days. This ambitious endeavor was timed to commemorate the completion of the Hoover Dam, a monumental project in which Kaiser played a pivotal role.

The estate's architectural charm and scenic beauty later caught the attention of Hollywood. In 1973, the property's distinctive stone boathouses and serene waterfront served as iconic backdrops for Francis Ford Coppola's "The Godfather Part II," notably featuring in scenes set at the Corleone family's lakeside compound.

Today, Fleur du Lac Estates has transformed into an exclusive, gated community comprising 22 luxurious residences. The Stewart Family has owned a home here for the past few years and have enjoyed many seasons snow skiing, jumping in the lake, and spending time with friends and family on the beautiful Lake Tahoe.
